A pioneer multi-state energy generation co-operative.
Multi State Energy Consumers’ cum Producers’ Co-operative Society Limited known as “Multistate Energy Coop” is a pioneer multi-state energy generation co-operative promoted by the domestic energy consumer of two states, viz., Sikkim and West Bengal. The initial area of operation of this Co-operative would be the state of Sikkim and West Bengal with its Registered Office at Upper Burtuk, Gangtok (Sikkim) and the Corporate Office at Siliguri, West Bengal. The Society is registered under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India.
Multistate Energy Coop., is established with the primary objective of developing renewable energy projects as well as initiating this noble concept of Alternative Free Energy (AFE). The objective is to enroll domestic energy consumers per household category in the primary membership to facilitate amongst its members with Alternative Free Energy scheme. The AFE is a tailor-made socio-economic programme designed to promote energy consumers to become producers to meet up their own energy requirements thereby indirectly earning cash rebate up to 100% of its annual energy consumption out of its revenue. To promote AFE a model Kilowatt Energy Share Scheme (KESS) is a state-of-art programme designed by Multistate Energy Coop., which is the principal tool for providing ownership and investment plan.
Our Objectives
- Function as a multi-State co-operative on energy production with energy consumers as the primary member.
- Create sources of renewable energy in member states and to carry out energy production for transferring energy into the regional and national energy grid for generating revenue.
- Develop energy plant by way of implementing a tailor-made “Kilowatt Energy Share Scheme” (KESS) amongst members to provide the energy cost estimates and energy output at per kilowatt basis so that each member can procure and own per kilowatt(s) module energy share through an investment plan with an aim to apportion the energy output and the sales proceeds to recoup the annual cost of energy consumption as a direct cost and surplus as profits.
- Brand and implement the objectives as “Alternative Free Energy” programme.
- Develop KESS loan credit scheme with the support of Banks, Financial Institutions and Government assistance.
- Act as an energy conglomerate of domestic and non domestic energy consumers.
- Develop small, medium, large scale renewable energy project on hydel, wind, solar, geothermal and biomass.
- Develop energy production plant with grid interconnection and off-grid interconnection.
- Carry out business activity on energy generation, transmission and distribution.
- Promote co-operative based renewable energy industry as a sustainable and a dependable source of income generation and employment opportunity.
- To develop energy project on joint venture partnership with national, multinational companies, government corporations, co-operatives, non government organizations and private companies.
- To invest in the equity capital of energy companies/ corporations and private companies at national and foreign level.
